On Wednesday January 26th, FC Twente and PSV played a KNVB quarterfinal soccer match in the FC Twente Stadium in Enschede.
During this match, an eye-catching Speeleiland LED boarding was displayed all around the soccer field. Every 22,5 minutes our boarding was shown during 15 seconds, so that both FC Twente and PSV supporters could get to know our gaming site, in case they hadn’t visited it yet for some online distraction!
Here’s a short commentary on the match:
In the first half, none of both teams scored a goal. In the second half of the match, FC Twente player Theo Janssen scored the first goal, from a penalty. Then, in the last minute of the match, PSV player Danny Koevermans scored the equalizer. Due to this 1-1 score, overtime was added: another occasion to show our Speeleiland LED boarding to the public! :-) No goals were scored during this extra time, so the match had to be decided on penalties. Both clubs scored the first 6 penalties. Then, PSV player Engelaar missed the 7th penalty, because FC Twente keeper Sander Boschker stopped the ball. Dwight Tiendalli scored the seventh penalty, leading FC Twente to victory.
This Sunday, FC Twente’s playing a home match against Feyenoord at half past two. Our Speeleiland LED will be dispayed again, so for those who like soccer and Speeleiland: check it out!
